THE FROSTED ELFIN HELPED US BREW A BEER

Our lab team and Florida Museum scientists collaborated to brew a first of its kind beer to raise money for imperiled butterfly research!

The latest collaboration between First Magnitude and the Florida Museum took our brewing friendship to the next level. With the help of Dr. Jaret Daniels and his team,  Arthur Rudolph, PhD, our Quality Manager was able to isolate yeast from the Frosted Elfin butterflies in Apalachicola National Forest. The yeast was used to ferment a New England-style Session Pale Ale named for the little critter who helped brew it!
