Frequently Asked Questions

Does it cost anything to reserve tables?

  • For small groups, there is no fee for reserving tables during our regular open hours. For larger groups, please inquire. 

Where can I reserve tables?

  • Tables can be reserved in either our beer garden or warehouse.  We do not reserve tables in The Source, our tap room, during regular hours.
  • BEER GARDEN — Our Beer Garden is large, mostly shaded, and has a designated family zone. The Beer Garden is not a covered area and reservations are subject to weather. In the case of inclement weather, we will attempt to move any reservations from the beer garden into the warehouse, but this can be affected by other reservations/events occurring indoors that day.
  • BREWERY WAREHOUSE — Our brewery Warehouse is large, open, and has a great view of our brewing operation. While we do have fans, it is not insulated. During the summer it can be hot and during the winter it can be cold. Please plan accordingly.

What types of events can I host at First Magnitude?

Birthday celebrations, social gatherings, Weddings, bridal showers, celebrations, fundraisers, business meetings, happy hours,  meet and greets, conference socials, bring them on!

Do you serve food?

We offer small plates and snacks, if you’re looking for something more substantial we always have a food truck available during our open hours!

Can we bring in outside food and drinks?

  • While we encourage you to support the food trucks, you are welcome to bring in any outside food or catering.  If you are bringing in a company to cater your event, please let the event coordinator know who it will be so we can plan for their setup.
  • Be sure to bring in any plates, napkins, and utensils you may need.
  • We do not allow any outside alcohol. However, you will be happy to know that in addition to our 18 taps of First Magnitude beer, we have 2 taps dedicated to Florida apple ciders, and also two taps dedicated to a red and a white wine. Additionally, we always have at least one soft drink available.

  • Would you like champagne or wine for your private event? Our staff can accommodate that with a corkage fee.

Can I schedule a Food Truck to be at my event?

We always have a food truck on-site during open hours. Please do not schedule a food truck for your event. If you have a specific food truck you would like to have on-site during your event, we can try to accommodate, but please keep in mind that we schedule our food trucks 6 weeks in advance.

If you are hosting a private event when we aren’t open to the public, you may work with the Event Coordinator to schedule a food truck. 

Can I set up a group tab for my event?

  • We’re happy to work with you to budget your group tab and can set one up one of two ways:
    • ONE: We can provide you with a roll of tickets that you can hand out to your guests. A ticket can be redeemed at the bar for a drink of the guest’s choice and will be added to your tab to be paid at the end of the event.
    • TWO: We can provide wristbands for an open bar!
  • Please note that an automatic 20% gratuity is added to all group tabs.

Can I schedule Live music for my event?

 We don’t usually book live music for guest events, but depending on the size and nature of your event, you might be able to book your own live music to play on our outside stage as long as the musicians are approved by us.

Musicians must bring their own PA or you must provide one for them. All requests for live music must be confirmed by our Event Coordinator.

Is there additional parking available?

We have access to the RTS lot on 10th street that we may be able to open up for your event. Please ask the event coordinator if you would like to use this. 

I just checked the weather and it looks it's going to rain on the day of my event reservation in the beer garden, can I move it inside?

We will attempt to move any reservations from the beer garden into the warehouse, but this can be affected by other reservations/events occurring indoors that day.

Can we buy a keg or growlers for our group?

yes! We sell kegs and growlers, however, these are to be consumed off premises only.

Are you 21 and up?

We welcome people of all ages, we do however check everyone’s IDs.  Certain events we host will be 21 and up, but will be noted in the event description.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for underage drinking, any guests attempting to drink underage or help guests drink underage will be asked to leave, immediately.

What's your kid policy?

Children are welcome at the brewery but must be under adult supervision at all times. We are a working brewery, so safety is paramount.  Also, we want all guests to be able to enjoy their beers and their time at FM, so we ask that there be no running, throwing toys, or other behaviors that make it difficult for other guests to enjoy their experience.

We have a designated Family Zone in our Beer Garden where kids are welcome to play as long as they are supervised by an adult in the family zone with them.

We encourage families with kids to bring board games and other activities to occupy their time.

Members of my party don't drink and/or are under 21, do you have anything for them?

You will be happy to know that we offer house-made Kombucha, Root Beer, Lemonade and Seltzer water. You are welcome to bring your own non-alcoholic drinks.

Some people in my group don't like beer(!!) do you have anything they might like?

In addition to our 18 taps of First Magnitude beer, we have 2 taps dedicated to Florida apple ciders, two taps dedicated to wines – one white and one red.

What equipment do you have available for rent?

  • We have a 16 foot screen and 10,000 lumen projector available for rent.  Subject to the size and scope of the event.
  • We have speakers and microphones available for rent, subject to the size and scope of the event.
  • Please ask our event coordinator about the costs associated with renting these items.

Do you have gift cards available?

Yes we do! Gift Cards may be purchased during open hours from our tap room.

Do you sell merchandise?

Yes! We have a wide selection of merchandise available for purchase from our taproom.  We have t-shirts, tank tops, hats, koozies, stickers, baby onseies, growlers and glassware available.

Can we decorate?!

Yes you can! However, please keep decorations to your reserved tables and DO NOT attach anything to the walls of the warehouse. No glitter or confetti. No helium balloons are permitted in the warehouse. All decorations must be cleaned up by the end of the event. 

Can I privately rent an area of the brewery?

  • You can privately rent out the whole brewery during a Monday when we aren’t open to the public or on any day before we open.  This is subject to availability, group size, and other events that may be going on.
  • In addition, we may be able to offer semi-private rentals during open hours depending on other events and day of the week. 

Can I host a Fundraiser at the brewery?

  • We love working with groups to help raise money for great causes! Fill out our Reservation Request Form and our event coordinator will reach out to you.

Can I bring my pets to the brewery?

While we love our pups and pets, we can’t allow them at the brewery. You can take beers to go and take them along the Hawthorne Trail or to Depot Park. Well-behaved service dogs are always welcome.
